Description
Delicious and quick cinnamon roll bites that are perfect for chilly autumn mornings.
Ingredients
- 1 pack of puff pastry (about 275–300 g), thawed
- 50 g soft butter
- 75 g brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp lemon juice or milk for glaze
- Optional: chopped nuts, raisins, or a pinch of nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
- Dust the working surface with flour and roll out the thawed puff pastry.
- Beat butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt in a small bowl until creamy.
- Spread the mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
- Roll the dough tightly from the long side.
- Cut the roll into 12 equal pieces to create the bites.
- Grease a muffin tin or a small baking sheet.
- Place the pieces cut-side up and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly.
- Mix powdered sugar with lemon juice or milk until smooth for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm bites.
Notes
For a richer cinnamon flavor, increase cinnamon by 1/2 tsp. If desired, brush with melted butter before baking for a golden surface.
